The Dutchess County Workforce Investment Board will receive over $300,000 for the 2008 Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Summer Youth Employment Program, which provides youth with summer jobs, a release said.
About 100 students ages 14 to 20 years old will be placed in positions that will enhance their skills. Students will also participate in educational sessions at Dutchess Community College.
The program will kick off with an opening ceremony at 9 a.m. July 14 at Dutchess Community College, 53 Pendell Road, Poughkeepsie.
